HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL

In 1984, there was no English Medium school for the wards of the private companies; the parents of these wards were in despair, which led to the formation of Haldia Educational Society. A school promoted by Hindustan Lever Limited, Chloride Industries,  Petro carbon & Chemical Co and Shaw Wallace, was established. At its inception, the school was set against a sparsely furnished, rented building in Helipad Ground of Haldia township. The ladies of the Liverina Club very kindly offered voluntary service to the school. Though funds were limited, the rich ideals of the society members led the schools towards brighter prospects.

Facilities were few but love was abundant and there was a steady increase in the number of students. As the school expanded, the society member began to find it challenging to run the school’s administration. They were in search of an institution which would take charge of the administration.

Late Pastor Rev. (Dr.) D. Mark Buntain, the founder and his wife Rev. (Dr.) Huldah Buntain felt the need for an English medium school in Haldia and agreed to run the school and have The Assembly of God Church School, Haldia.

In January 1988. the school was shifted to its own building and in May 1988, The Assembly of the God Church took the entire responsibility for the school’s administration. Since then, our journey, though rough, has been towards a definite goal.
